Data Engineer for Debt Collection Squads

We are looking for a business-oriented data talent to join a like-minded team in developing critical data solutions in an agile setup.
Your role & responsibility
You will be powering Data & Insights team with your skills, curiosity and critical faculty to enhance data quality and reliability. The team consists of a data architect and three data engineers. The team has close cooperation with a business-oriented team in Denmark. Both teams have the same Product Owner who is responsible for the teams and their deliveries.
We have an existing data warehouse built using Dimensional Modelling principles. Your tasks involve further development of the warehouse as well as fine-tuning the existing functionality. The data warehouse is built with Microsoft stack, including SSIS and SQL Server. We use Git and GitHub for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
You will be actively participating in business discovery in cross-functional squads consisting of software engineers, data scientists, data engineers and credit specialists. You will also be collaborating with platform teams and product teams.
We are looking for three Data Engineers to form this new team and looking for new colleagues who have experience with Dimensional Data Modelling and who take responsibility for the solution in cooperation with the rest of the team.
Core skills
The perfect candidate has experience within all of the below skills. We prefer someone with a few years of experience with data warehousing, but it could also be a good match if you are newly graduated with a strong technical understanding and a willingness to learn.
Technical skills:
Design Dimensional Modelling Data Warehouse
Working with relational databases
Create and optimize the stored procedures in SQL server
Conduct complex data analysis and report on results
Work with DevOps tool, e.g. Git
Agile methodology
Personal skills:
English proficiency (both written and spoken)
Independent and responsible – you take responsibility for the solution as a whole and not only your own tasks
Critical faculty – you question data and are thorough in testing data quality as well as your own code
