HGS (India) Limited, (HGSI) (erstwhile Geosource India Limited) a part of the Sowar group, was established in 1986 in technical and financial collaboration with Geosource Inc USA, owner of Sensor Nederland b.v. to manufacture geophone strings, seismic cables & connectors. When Geosource Inc was bought out by HGS Inc USA, Geosource India Limited changed its name to HGS (India) Ltd. Thereafter HGS Inc USA was bought and sold by a number of companies but HGSI has remained with that name. Between 2010 and 2013, Sensor Nederland/ION progressively shut its manufacturing operations in Jebel Ali (UAE), Beijing (China) and Voorschoten (the Netherlands) and shifted operations to HGSI in India. A new dedicated factory was built to house these activities. Since 2011, HGSI has been manufacturing and supplying geophones and geophone strings to various clients of Sensor/ION all over the world, and by the end of 2013 the manufacturing of the complete range of geophones was transferred over to HGSI.

  • Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information
  • Determines requirements by working with customers
