So Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) a public research university which is recognized as institute of national importance in 1959 act of the Indian parliament. Also It grew out of the Statistical Laboratory set up by Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in Presidency College, Kolkata.

About the Opportunity
Those who have completed their master’s degree in Statistics/ Economics in 2020, or awaiting the results, may apply. The program will continue till 31 March 2021 and may be extended considering the performance of the selected candidates and availability of funds.
Eligibility
Also Masters degree holders in Statistics/ Data Science/ Economics/ Econometrics with experience in Computer Programming/ Statistical Packages for an on-the-job training program in Applied Statistics and Econometrics, conducted by the Sampling and Official Statistics Unit and the Applied Statistics Unit of the Institute.
Stipend
stipend of Rs25000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) per month (Consolidated).
