Machine learning in mass spectrometry: Developments of intraoperative cancer diagnostics.
Description: This is a part of our highly interdisciplinary collaborative project on the development of cancer diagnostics using mass spectrometry and machine learning. The candidate needs to employ his/her machine learning skills on the complex pattern of the omics data, which has already been recorded in our laboratory for both training and validation sets to discriminate cancer and normal tissue specimens.

Eligibility
Master/Bachelor/Diploma in artificial intelligence/ machine learning/ deep learning/ data science/ statistics/ computer science/ mathematics or equivalent degrees.
Desirable: The candidate should have good knowledge in machine learning/deep learning/ SVM/ python/ R/ coding/ data science/ Lasso statistics, etc.
Age: Not more than 35 years as on the closing date of the advertisement.
Duration
The position is temporary for an initial period of one year and renewable after one year subject to satisfactory performance. The position is co-terminus with the project.

Fellowship Amount
Project Fellow: Candidates with a Master’s degree or Bachelor in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university or equivalent are eligible for remuneration of Rs. 31000/- + 8% HRA per month (consolidated).
Project Assistant: Others will be eligible for Rs. 20,000/- + 8% HRA per month or as according to GoI norms, based on their academic qualification.
