So National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand is amongst the 10 new NITs, located in the hilly terrain of Srinagar Garhwal on the banks of the Alaknanda river. NIT Uttarakhand was established in 2009 under the Act of Parliament of India by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and designated with the status of “Institute of National Importance”.

The primary objective of the STTP is to hone soft skills which remain largely sidelined in the overall learning process, and thereby to achieve personality development. The STTP aims to foster awareness towards these dimensions which play a decisive role in influencing the quality of life in materialistic and non- materialistic ways.

The training program facilitates the building of pleasant and appealing personality traits as self-confidence, emotional intelligence, positive attitude, social grace. It aims to achieve these by fostering in-depth knowledge of effective communication skills with a particular focus on, presentation skills, team skills, non-verbal communication, behavioral skills, negotiation skills, leadership skills, time management, speaking and pronunciation, and many more.

The online STTP welcomes participants from educational institutes and industrial/ professional bodies including undergraduate, post-graduate & Ph.D. students, faculty members, and other professionals. The registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis due to the limitation of participants.
